Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I warmly invite you to attend the 72th Congress of the Italian Society of Physiology (SIF) that will be held in Bari on September 14-16, 2022.
This will be the second time that Bari hosts the SIF Congress. Bari is a city with one important University founded in 1925 named ‘Aldo Moro’ after one of its most famous students, the statesman Aldo Moro who taught there for several years.

Due to the pandemic, the annual SIF Congress has been cancelled in 2020 while in 2021 has been broadcast through a virtual platform. In September 2022, we are very happy to hold our in-presence Congress in Bari. We have set-up an inspiring scientific program and prepared a warm welcome in a city that offers plenty of opportunities to meet and greet in a nice place.
The main venue of the conference is Villa Romanazzi Carducci Congress Center Hotel, located in the heart of Bari, which preserves with the greatest respect the memory of a noble residence which goes back to 1885 and includes a lush park with a huge variety of aromatic trees and elegant garden furniture you can appreciate walking along its several natural paths.

Bari is a very charming seaside town, the third-largest city in Southern Italy. Walking through the streets of Bari means feeling the local culture, history, tradition, architecture, but also typical and exquisite food. Bari is also famous for its art and for having one of the most beautiful seafronts in Italy.

We hope for your enthusiastic participation and wish you to enjoy the scientific programme and a pleasant stay in a wonderful city.
